🩸 V Rising — V Blood Carriers Guide

Last updated: June 2026 | Game version: 1.1 Gloomrot

In V Rising, progression is tied to defeating V Blood Carriers — powerful bosses that unlock new abilities, crafting recipes, castle upgrades, and gear tiers. Each carrier has a distinct combat style, optimal kill order, and rewards. This guide covers every significant V Blood carrier, from the first bandit lord to Dracula himself.

How V Blood Works

When you defeat a V Blood carrier, you drink their blood to gain:

  1. New Spells & Abilities — unlock them from the Blood Altar
  2. Crafting Recipes — new gear, castle items, and consumables
  3. Passive Powers — permanent stat boosts
  4. Castle Upgrades — new floors, walls, and decorations

Tip: After drinking a new V Blood, check your Blood Altar immediately. Many abilities require you to equip them before they take effect.

V Blood Progression Path

Tier 1 (Farbane Woods) — Lv. 16–34
  → Tier 2 (Dunley Farmlands) — Lv. 36–62
    → Tier 3 (Silverlight Hills) — Lv. 52–68
      → Tier 4 (Cursed Forest) — Lv. 62–74
        → Tier 5 (Gloomrot South/North) — Lv. 58–80
          → Endgame: Dracula (Lv. 86+)

Tier 1 — Farbane Woods (Level 16–34)

1. Keely the Frost Archer (Lv. 16)

Location: Farbane Woods, near the southeast exit to Dunley Farmlands. She patrols a frozen clearing.

Recommended Level: 16–18

Gear: Copper weapons, Simple gear (level 2+)

Attack Patterns:

Attack Description Counter
Ice Arrow Fires a frost arrow that slows Side-dodge at the flash
Frost Volley 3 arrows in a spread Side-step, don't roll
Frost Trap Places a ground trap that roots Watch the ground glow
Arrow Sweep Wide cone at close range Back up or roll behind

Ability Unlock: Frost Bat (travel form — early fast movement).

Drops: Keely's Hat (cosmetic), Coins.

Strategy: Kite her around the trees to block arrows. She's vulnerable after the volley. Chase her while she's on cooldown. Use copper mace for stagger.

2. Rufus the Foreman (Lv. 20)

Location: Farbane Woods, inside the Bandit Camp just south of the starting crypt. He's the camp leader.

Gear: Copper weapons, full Simple gear.

Attack Patterns: Wild swings, throwing axe (short range), rage mode when below 30% HP (faster attacks).

Strategy: Clear the camp first — the adds will overwhelm you if Rufus is fought with 6 bandits still alive. After clearing, Rufus is straightforward: block his throwing axe, counter with 3 hits, repeat.

Ability Unlock: Chaos Volley (spell — fires a spread of bolts).

3. Feron the Flesh Weaver (Lv. 22)

Location: Farbane Woods, inside a crypt near the wolf den. The entrance is a stone door with a blood symbol.

Mechanic: Summons skeletal adds every 15 seconds. The adds explode on death, dealing AOE poison damage.

Strategy: Prioritize adds. When you see Feron raise his staff, back away — adds spawn under you. The exploding skeletons deal heavy damage at close range. Use slashing weapons for maximum damage.

Ability Unlock: Skeletal Swordsman (summon — tank pet).

4. Errol the Stone Breaker (Lv. 26)

Location: Farbane Woods, near the copper mine. Errol patrols the mine entrance.

Gear: Copper/Bronze weapons, Simple or Hollowfang gear.

Attack: A massive iron mace that deals 3-hit combos. Ground pound that sends out a shockwave.

Strategy: Errol is extremely slow. Wait for his combo (3 swings, 4s total), roll behind him, and land 4–5 hits during his recovery. The ground pound can be jumped over. Don't let him corner you against the mine walls.

Ability Unlock: Veil of Shadows (travel skill — short teleport).

5. Grayson the Bandit King (Lv. 27)

Location: The Bandit Stronghold in southwest Farbane Woods. A large wooden fortress with multiple enemies.

The First Real Gear Check: Grayson is the hardest T1 boss. He has 3 phases.

Gear Required: Full Bronze gear or Hollowfang, copper weapons (bronze recommended).

Phase 1 (100%–60%): - Dual swords — fast combos of 4–5 hits. Block or dodge the full combo. - Throws smoke bomb, becomes invisible for 2 seconds, then attacks from behind.

Phase 2 (60%–30%): - Adds crossbow — fires at range while closing distance. - Uses a roll that deals damage and exits combat.

Phase 3 (30%–0%): - Enrages — significantly faster attack speed. - Summons 2 bandit adds. Kill them immediately.

Ability Unlock: Dash (movement ability — essential for PvP and later bosses).

6. Lidia the Chaos Archer (Lv. 34)

Location: Farbane Woods, near the northeast border with Dunley. A cliffside archery range.

Gear: Bronze or early Iron weapons, Hollowfang gear.

Mechanic: Fires explosive chaos arrows that leave burning ground. She ziplines between 3 platforms.

Strategy: Chase her from platform to platform. The burning ground lasts 8 seconds — don't stand in it. Use a ranged weapon to deal damage while she's moving between platforms.

Ability Unlock: Chaos Arrow (spell — explosive arrow that bounces between targets).

Tier 2 — Dunley Farmlands (Level 36–62)

7. Vincent the Frost Bringer (Lv. 37)

Location: Dunley Farmlands, frozen lake in the north.

Mechanic: All attacks apply frost. At 50% HP, he freezes the lake surface, creating a slippery arena.

Ability Unlock: Ice Block (utility — freeze yourself, heal, immune to damage).

8. Christina the Sun Priestess (Lv. 40)

Location: Dunley Farmlands, church ruins in the east.

Mechanic: Summons holy light beams that deal heavy damage if you stand in them. Heals herself periodically — interrupt with CC.

Ability Unlock: Holy Bolt (spell — long-range, high damage vs undead).

9. Leandra the Shadow Priestess (Lv. 44)

Location: Dunley Farmlands, underground catacombs. Requires a Grave Dust key from a nearby quest.

Mechanic: Teleports between shadow pools on the floor. Summons shadow copies of herself that attack simultaneously.

Strategy: Destroy the shadow pools with area attacks (chaos volley works well). The copies die when the pool is destroyed. Save CC for when Leandra heals.

Ability Unlock: Shadow Volley (spell — wide shadow damage AOE).

10. Goreswine the Ravager (Lv. 50)

Location: Dunley Farmlands, pig farm in the west.

Gear Required: Full Iron gear.

Mechanic: Charges in a straight line, destroying everything in his path. When below 40% HP, he spawns boar adds.

Strategy: Pillar-hugging is key. Let him charge into pillars, then attack. Kill boar adds with a single spinning weapon attack.

Ability Unlock: Frenzy (buff — increases attack speed by 30% for 8 seconds).

11. Matka the Curse Weaver (Lv. 55)

Location: Dunley Farmlands, cursed forest section in the south.

Mechanic: Curses you with a debuff that deals damage when you attack. The debuff stacks. Dispel it by standing still for 3 seconds (purple swirl will leave you).

Strategy: Attack 3 times, stop, wait for dispel, repeat. This is a DPS check — if you can't kill her in 3 cycles, the curse stacks become unmanageable.

Ability Unlock: Curse of Silence (spell — silences enemies in a 5m radius).

12. Maja the Dark Ranger (Lv. 62)

Location: Dunley Farmlands, watchtower in the southeast.

Gear Required: Dark Silver or Iron gear.

Mechanic: Invisible sniper. She cloaks and teleports to different vantage points before firing. You need to track her by the sound of her cloak activation (audible cue).

Strategy: Listen for the cloak sound, sprint toward the nearest vantage point. She's vulnerable for 2 seconds after uncloaking but before firing. This is a frustrating fight — bring crossbow with silver bolts.

Ability Unlock: Spectral Wolf (summon — fast wolf that attacks and slows enemies).

Tier 3 — Silverlight Hills (Level 52–68)

13. Terah the Geomancer (Lv. 52)

Location: Silverlight Hills, quarry in the east.

Mechanic: Controls the terrain — creates pillars, raises walls, and drops boulders from the sky. The arena is fully destructible.

Strategy: Destroy the pillars he raises immediately (they heal him). The boulders come in patterns avoidable by running in a circle.

Ability Unlock: Earth Shield (spell — absorbs damage for 8 seconds).

14. Azariel the Sun Bringer (Lv. 60)

Location: Silverlight Hills, temple summit. Reached via a long climb with silverlight exposure (you need Silver Resist Potions).

The First Hard Endgame Check: Azariel uses constant AOE light damage. Without silver resist, you take 40 damage per second just from proximity.

Phase 1 (100%–50%): Solar beam sweeps across the arena. Sprint parallel to the beam. He summons light orbs that chase you. Shoot them before they reach you.

Phase 2 (50%–0%): Summons a mini-sun that floats in the middle of the arena, dealing constant damage. Destroy it. The boss fights you while the mini-sun is alive — focus the sun first.

Ability Unlock: Divine Intervention (ultimate — full heal + 5 seconds of invulnerability).

15. Solarus the Immaculate (Lv. 68)

Location: Silverlight Hills, Silverlight Cathedral. The church itself is a dungeon.

Endgame Gatekeeper: Solarus is the hardest boss before the Cursed Forest. He has 3 forms.

Form 1: Warrior form, uses a holy greatsword with wide swings. Block the 3-hit combo.

Form 2: Archer form, teleports high and rains silver arrows. Use cover.

Form 3: Caster form, combines holy beams with melee. DPS race — heal through damage.

Ability Unlock: Light Beam (ultimate — massive holy laser, 1-minute cooldown).

Tier 4 — Cursed Forest (Level 62–74)

16. Mordrim the Diseased (Lv. 65)

Location: Cursed Forest, central clearing.

Mechanic: Poison clouds that follow you. Mordrim spreads poison wherever he walks. The entire arena becomes a hazard over time.

Strategy: Kite him in a large circle. Don't let him corner you in poison. Cleanse potions are mandatory.

Ability Unlock: Death's Revival (power — resurrection with 50% HP once per cooldown).

17. Bloodbringer Matriarch (Lv. 74)

Location: Cursed Forest, spider hive in the north. The hive entrance is a cave covered in webs.

Mechanic: Spawns spider adds that web you in place. The Matriarch herself has a poison bite that stacks.

Strategy: Bring a fire weapon — spiders burn and die faster. Kill adds with AOE as they spawn. Matriarch is vulnerable after laying eggs (5-second window). Stand in the eggs to prevent them from hatching.

Ability Unlock: Web Snare (spell — roots enemies in place for 6 seconds).

Tier 5 — Gloomrot (Level 58–80)

18. Voltatia the Storm Witch (Lv. 62)

Location: Gloomrot South, storm tower.

Mechanic: Lightning strikes that follow you. Storms intensify over time. At 30% HP, the storm becomes permanent.

Strategy: Do NOT stand in water. Water conducts lightning and triples damage. Use the metal towers as cover — they attract lightning.

Ability Unlock: Storm Dash (movement — leaves a lightning trail that damages enemies).

19. General Marcus (Lv. 70)

Location: Gloomrot North, military compound.

Mechanic: All soldiers in the compound must be killed before the fight — or they join as elites. Marcus uses a shield + spear combo. He blocks frontal attacks and counters with a spear thrust.

Strategy: Roll behind him to bypass the shield. The spear thrust is punishable after a miss (3s recovery).

Ability Unlock: Phalanx Formation (power — summons 3 soldiers that fight for you).

20. Raziel the Soul Reaver (Lv. 80)

Location: Gloomrot North, soul reaver's tower.

The Pre-Dracula Wall: Raziel is the hardest boss before Dracula. He steals your blood to heal himself.

Mechanic: Every 5th hit on you heals Raziel for 10% of his HP. He drains your blood meter over time (you lose blood quality).

Strategy: Use banes — items that reduce enemy healing. Bring clan mates (co-op is recommended). Blood mend (heal spell) is essential. This fight tests your gear, your dodging, and your potion management simultaneously.

Ability Unlock: Soul Devour (ultimate — deals 250% of your weapon damage as shadow damage).

⚔️ Endgame — Dracula (Lv. 86+)

Location: Dracula's Castle, reached after completing all preceding V Blood carriers.

Recommended Level: 86–90

Gear Required: Full Sanguine gear, Legendary weapons, full potions.

Phase 1 (Human Form): - Blood magic: orbs, beams, and homing missiles. All attacks apply the Bleed status. - Teleport strike: vanishes and reappears with a sword combo. - Mist form: becomes invulnerable for 5 seconds, regenerates 10% HP. Attack the mist (it takes damage).

Phase 2 (Demon Form — 60% HP): - Grows wings, gains fire attacks. Fire AOE covers the arena floor. - Wing buffet: pushes you into wall traps. - Blood rain: spheres of blood fall from the ceiling. They explode on contact. - Blood shields: 2 shields orbit him. They absorb damage. Destroy them with sustained fire.

Phase 3 (Final Form — 30% HP): - All attacks from previous phases combined. - Blood nova: massive 30m radius blast. Hide behind the pillars. - Dark eclipse: entire arena goes dark. Only your movement leaves a visible trail. Boss becomes invisible but makes noise. Follow the sound.

Kill Strategy: - Bring 6+ blood rose potions (heal + remove bleed). - Use a sword with fire damage — Dracula is vulnerable to fire in all phases. - The pillars in the arena are your only safe zones during Blood Nova. Memorize their positions before the fight. - Raziel's "Soul Devour" ultimate is the hardest-hitting ability in the game — reserve it for Phase 3. - If you're playing solo, the fight takes 25–35 minutes. Bring a repair kit.

Drop: Dracula's Legacy (legendary sword, best-in-slot). Unlocks: Dracula's Castle cosmetic set.
